Solved! dell inspiron 15r 5537 - touchscreen gone , no hid in device mgr,

my touchscreen disappeared. I have downloaded all the drivers on dell site. Their diagnostics can't detect my touchscreen. It is not listed in the device manager under hid or hidden devices. I just need the driver and i'll download it!

Did you try searching for it on the manufacturer's site rather than having it detect it? That would be the best way to go.

yes, intel and dell sites.. downloaded and updated all drivers, but no hid. I even contacted dell, but since my warranty has expired, they are useless.
