Dell Inspiron 15r se 7520 replace display with higher resolution

Hey guys i have a dell inspiron 15r se 7520. I've heard there was a option for the full HD 1920x1080 display but i only have 1366x768. if i buy a replacement screen with HD 1920x1080 will i be able to plug it straight in and it will work or is this not possible?

Hi, if you change the screen for the full HD, you have to verify if the new screen will work with the cable you have in the laptop. Maybe you will need to change the cable for using the full HD screen.

That laptop should have a 1920x1080 screen, check over the specs on it from when you purchased it. Dell does not currently sell that model so maybe all options are not listed, but Dell's site lists it as a "Full 1080 HD" and the reviews on the laptop also say it's a 1080 screen.

You may want to check on Dell's support site for drivers for the chipset, BIOS and video card.
