dell inspiron4010 charging problem,I connected with ac adaptor but no voltage on battery terminal, but when I power on the lap

Hi,

First step you need to try is to use a different AC adapter and see if it would charge properly. Next is to remove the battery off the laptop then power it on just with the AC adapter, once on put the battery back in while the laptop is on and see if it would start to charge. Lastly is to uninstall and reinstall the ACPI in Device Manager. Hope this helps.
