Question Dell laptop - The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined

at restart, get the above message and pc runs extremely slow even though battery is fully charged.

Try another charger, try a BIOS update, may need to replace the charging port.

The thing is, this problem comes and goes. I had the problem every time I logged on to my laptop a couple of weeks ago, but now have not gotten the warning in a week, even after doing nothing.
I suppose if the problem comes back, I will get an AC charger that delivers more power.
BIOS is up to date, don't have another charger, port seems to be ok.
