Dell latitude D610 wont turn on

Hello,
i have a dell latitude D610 i push the power button and it wont turn on i here the fan getting ready to boot up but then it just shuts off. i tried to hold it for 15-20 sec and then push to turn on and that did not work what else can i do?

Get the battery out, disconnect power adapter, and try to turn it on. Then reconnect power, and try again.
