Hello,

I have a Dell Vostro 1540 that has 2gb of 1333 Mhz memory in one stick. This runs at 533 instead of 666 Mhz and i can't seem to be able to change this in Bios. I've flashed to the latest revision A04 but anything except time is grayed out and can't be selected.
Is there any work around?
I will get another stick of ram when i have the money. A ssd is out of my budget.

Thanks

Look for a setting in the BIOS for DRAM that allows a frew change - there may not even be one...if not and it's rated to 1333 then check for a BIOS update - it's also possible that the DRAM is compatible w/ the mobo

Sorry for the late replay.
I got another stick of 2gb ram and now it really moves much smother with dual channel.
The frequency still remains the same 533 though. I've updated the bios and know both are 1333 MHz ram.
I guess the trade off of having a lower CL is worth it !?

Thanks
