Dell microphone

Hello,
I have dell inspiron 1525. it has problem on microphone. when i tried to talk through skype receiver cant hear my voice but i can hear them clear and even i checked recording found its not working. Before also I had same problem once and it got repaired by itself dont know how? pleasse advise me

Go to your sound properties via control panel or right clicking on the sound icon near the time. From there set the microphone as the default input device. That should get you talking/recording.

the microphone is in the default input device.its still not working.
