Dell N5010 upgrade to i7 for better video playback?

Hello! I would like to play 1080p 60fps on my old laptop and I believe better CPU will handle it. Last week I replaced i3-370m with i3-380m on DELL N5010. It's not big deal but theorically is better. Now I want to upgrade to i7 but cannot decide which one. I know there are N5010 variants with i7-740qm but I am not sure if it uses the same motherboard since that CPU has 45w TDP (10w more) and it is quad core. The other option is i7-640m which is still dual core and has also 35w (same like mine at the moment). Also my laptop has ATI HD5650 gpu.

I just upgrade to i7-840qm. It worked. The temp is max 80c at 100% load. But the problem is that when install video card driver and restart to take the effect it goes black screen after windows logo. Any idea what do?

Hey .. bro how did it go ? yours was the only post I found on this upgrade. Mine is inspiron N5010 i5 460m and would like to go for i7 840qm. The motherboard has graphics so changing that should not be a problem .
Any recommendations ? How better was the performance ?
