Dell Netbook on Android in the Works?

Article writer thinks this will push more people to Android, but I don't think so. Android isn't a full-blown OS like Windows or Linux. Besides, I think Dell's Mini 9s and 10s are doing quite nicely.

Not only Dell considers this. Asus and HP do as well according to press releases. And the Chinese manufacturer Guangzhou Skytone Transmission Technologies Company wants to show the first protoypes in June already.

Anyway, Android is a mobile phone OS. Unless it's really ramped up, I don't see it becoming an effective x86 OS.

Agree frozenlead. Unless the Android OS is scalable, I also don't see it becoming an effective computing platform. It's possible it won't be on the x86 platform though.
