Dell notebook keyboard

On my new Dell notebook the @ and " are reversed. How can I reverse this? Also although there is a UK pound sterling sign above 3 this comes out as # and I cannot find a pound sign anywhere on the keyboard. The hash key comes out as \. Any ideas?

I'm not sure exactly, but this could probably be remedied by changing the language setting. Maybe it is set to something other than your given county's standard?
