hey! i really need help in deciding between 2 lappy's that i narrowed down my search to[based on what i understand, but im open minded].they fit snugly in budget.

I am a Graphic Designer and i am working with Photoshope & 3d Max

Are you going to be using an external monitor? or the laptop screen? Either way i would recommend the dell studio either way
Has a slightly weaker CPU, but the GPU will help in adding layers and renders etc

I second that. The Sony VAIO is however, a bit more ergonomic to use. However, in terms of performance, you can't go wrong with the Dell Studio 15.

HOWEVER, The VAIO can be upgraded to a ATI Radeon 5470. I suggest you buy that as that will make it comparable to the Dell Studio 15.

Tunas right, if you get the vaio with the 5470, then the vaio would be a better choice.. depends how much more expensive the vaio is then though
