I bought my laptop DELL STUDIO 1555 3 years back everything was working fine but then my battery got a problem. every time the current went of my laptop just switched off and there was lot of power fluctuation also. I replaced the battery after one week but by that time it started showing blank screen out of nowhere(which I resolved by restarting with power button). this happened for couple of days and then one day it showed a blank screen and start rebooting itself showing blank screen sometimes with flickered screen color. I thought of removing the RAM and and attaching it again but when I did that, It was not even starting. I can hear the sound from hardware when I press power button and the fan is also working. I have no idea wat to do now..
some says I should replace the motherboard. Some say there is problem with graphic card. I went to a repair shop they said there was a problem with a chip in graphic card and they can replace that graphic chip. They are asking for about 3000Rs about 55$. What should I do now please help. is graphic chip replaceable ?? and is there any graphic chip in laptop graphic card ?? cause I think there must be a single chip instead of complete graphic card like in Desktop.
Is there any permanent solution? Should I replace Mother board??
