Intel WiFi Link 5100

Core i7 or Core 2 duo which one is best for my needs.
I have a plan to use my laptop for the coming 5 or 7 years.

I am really confused with these Three Laptops and also Core i7 or Core 2 duo.
I will use my laptop to see movies, play games like GTA4, NFS Shift, Left 4 Dead, Far Cry 2 & net browsing.
In My Place HD videos & Blue-ray discs are a rarity.
I am also concerned with heating issue.
I heard that Studio 15 and Studio XPS 16 Produces more heat under full load as compared to Sony Vaio CW.
Which one is Best for playing games with out producing heat.
Also pointed out which one has more battery life.

i am not a hard core gamer just play games at medium settings. my budget is 1250$

i ll give u an idea because i7 processor generally uses more battery and produces heat and also hard disk with 7200 rpm also produces heat better change ur option i5 processors which produce less heat update ur hard disk to 500GB at 5400 rpm which ll produce less heat

All these features comes with dell studio 15 which is very cheap when compared to all others......

I would choose dell studio 15

i5-430m
4 gb ram
Ati 1 gb card
500 gb 5400 rpm
