The remote thingy at Dell will need some permission from the customer before they can remote into the user's PC... and standing infront of a webcam, that you know is activated is just plain Stupid!

that woman is just after some cool cash from Dell... but its ok, Dell itself is a scam anyway...

imagine their software support, called Dell On Call, which now became Support Something? they charge people a whopping $129 or $239 just for looking at or running an anti-spyware scan which are for free.

This exact thing has happened to me twice. Each time the Dell technician had remote access in order to investigate the issues; however they turned on my webcam without permission. The last time this happened was yesterday. Both times they also asked the time of day. Don't assume this woman is just out for money, this probably happens more often than you know.
