Dell XPS 13 internal speakers not working

So I got this dell xps 13 second hand off ebay and everything works great but the speakers. They don't work at all but when I put my ear close to the speaker, there is a soft tapping noise. I've heard this noise before when my earphones would cut out if I didn't place them in a certain position so I think it's a hardware issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and nothing changed and the headphone jack works fine. Does anyone know anything else I can do?

Sounds like you need to replace the speakers. Either that or use external speakers.
