Dell XPS M1530 Factory rest

Ok so i got this computer and when i start it, after seeing the dell logo it brings me to a screen that says i need to enter the password to access the data. I dont need to do that. I just want to reset it but when I press F8 it still brings me to the part to enter the password screen. How do I reset it to factory settings

You need to enter the password. The system is a useless brick without it, which is the entire point of a bios and or hdd password. If you don't know the password contact the person you got the laptop from. We will not help bypass or reset it.

unfortunately the person it came from is dead. So basically your saying I have no way of ever getting the computer into a working state? Could I use it for parts? What parts would work without the password?
