Dent in Asus Chromebook flip

I called Asus it will be $250 to replace the lid with the dent in it. Can I do it myself? What other laptop model work for an Asus Chromebook flip c302ca?

I'm sure it can be done, but it's unlikely to be economical.

Chromebooks are not really designed to be upgraded/repaired, so even removing the shell could be tough - potentially resulting in more damage! (broker clips, more dents etc).

Personally, I wouldn't bother.
