Kinda funny how the army used to give each soldier a cig in their ration to keep them calm in ww2... Also kinda funny they are worrying about smoking but what about that breach of security they just had?

military making a smoke game?
I'm sure smoking has it's issues; but not as much as some nuke does!

Perhaps the army should stop throwing bombs, and just export more cigarettes to enemy nations!

What wrong with our stupid government? Are they afraid that our military can't rape a Iraqi woman and smoke at the same time?

@demonhorde665 (retard in the purest form)

I don't think you have the right to ever question the educational expertise of anyone seeing how your grasp of the English language, sentence structure and the ability to spell correctly falls way below the common public school 3rd grader.
There was never a comment stating that the founding fathers of this country were Godly. There is no argument about slavery seeing how it is openly agreed that most people owned slaves back then. (There were even some affluent Blacks in the north that had their own slaves). History is also open about the founding fathers being high level freemasons as well. George Washington himself is pictured in full freemason garb during his swearing in.
The “tax with out rep thing” as you so eloquently put it is better known as “No taxation without representation.” This was a phrase that was used to define grievances that the colonies had against England at the time but by no means is the reason for the “Revolutionary war.”
Your second point is absolutely pointless. You are an idiot and there is no other way of stating it. You accuse someone of being a college dropout and you make up your own beliefs in American history. You claim that you are one of the “educatred” individuals that understand the true nature of our history. I say please enlighten the ones that failed to make it out of college (your claim but obviously not the truth). I have not read a good comedy lately and I am sure you won’t disappoint.
I think you need to step away from WoW for a few years and try to truly educate yourself before you start trying to enter into a battle of wits when you have obviously shown up unarmed.

[citation][nom]Airborne11b[/nom]I've been in the army for 6 years now, so I feel I should post a little bit on this subject.1. "Taxpayers dollars at work". Well let me ask you this? Did you know that taxpayer dollars go to current service members and veterans to pay for our health insurance?Let me ask you another question? If this game can convince a large number of our military members and veterans to quit smoking, don't you think the reduced amount of medical care that we receive from smoking related illnesses (Treatment is ALWAYS VERY EXPENSIVE).It might be 3.7 million right now, but in the long run I think it will save lots of money in health care costs (Not to mention drastically improve many service member's lives)Then again, it seems to be a common American trend to not care about us soldiers. Pretty apparent when close friends of mine die in Afghanistan or Iraq and won't even make the news papers, yet you got stupid celebrities making front pages of every news paper in the US.To quote a stupid civilian - "Pathetic"[/citation]
QTF.

Logic seems to still be a popular thing in the army at least.

[citation][nom]Enlightenmental[/nom]Grieve: If you take Holland(where you can buy recreational drugs at any coffee shop) as an example, you could draw the conclusion that the drug-use rate would be slightly lower than it is in America right now. Portugal is another fine example, they decriminalized EVERYTHING, and every statistic available suggests that not only did social problems not get any worse, they actually got better.Unfortunately, there are too many people like you that have been taking in the same tired old Reagan era propaganda, without paying any attention to what a failure those policies really are. Go research Holland and Portugal, educate yourself.[/citation]
I don’t know anything about Reagan’s propaganda… I am Canadian; and I spend $12 a day on smokes. ($4380 a year)

I will also admit that I am ignorant in regards to Holland and Portugal’s laws.

I firmly believe I would not break any laws to smoke. I will however spend INSANE amounts of money ($4380 a year) because I do enjoy smoking and I am fully aware of the health concerns smoking posses. Here in Canada (Alberta) we smokers have been pushed 15 meters away from all public buildings, and cannot smoke in any public vehicle. We are charged an insane amount of money for cigarettes which is about 80% Tax and ultimately we have no rights. I do think the Canadian Government should just bite the bullet and make it illegal already. But they can’t do away with that $4000 Tax income from each smoker… Bitches.

Yah… I guess a guy should just gain a backbone and quit!

[citation][nom]WhateverDumAzz[/nom]@caamsa: We have the highest useage rate in the world as of the UN's study last year, and it has only risen since Reagan declared his "drug war". What does population have to do with anything? Is our culture not influenced by the fact that it is illegal? Keep drinking the Reagan Kool-Aid.[/citation]

We have the highest in the world.....but in the US drug use overall is going down just like crime.

Is our culture not influenced by the fact that it is illegal? That is just a stupid argument. There are a lot of things that are illegal does that mean we are going to do them anyway? Why not make everything legal including murder. I mean hell people are going to do it anyway so what the hell.

You state facts but have nothing to back it up? Where is the link. First off I suggest that you take an anthropology class and learn about different cultures and then maybe you will understand what I mean about our population and the diverse cultures we have. Not everyone usese the same drug for the same reason. Also drug/alcohol varies amoung different races, class, cultures, sexes and ages. If you study drug use in a small country in Europe what will it tell you? It will tell use the drug use patterns for that country and that is all. You can't then compare it to another country.

The US is a drug/gun culture. Turn on TV or watch any movie. Guns and drugs.

Here is a quote from the study I linked below.

"The study's main limitations are that only 17 countries were surveyed, within these countries there were different rates of participation, and it is unclear whether people accurately report their drug use when interviewed. Nevertheless, the findings present comprehensive data on the patterns of drug use from national samples representing all regions of the world."

So all this study really tells you is that Americans like to brag about their drug use. And that study was specific to concaine and cannabis use.

Here is another report.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/07/01/health/webmd/main4222322.shtml

"Researchers found gender and socioeconomic differences in both legal and illegal drug use. For example, men were more likely than women to have used legal and illegal drugs, and younger adults were more likely than older adults to have used drugs of all kinds."

"Single adults were more likely than married adults to report tobacco, marijuana, and cocaine use but not alcohol use. People with higher incomes were also more likely to use both legal and illegal drugs."

"The use of drugs seems to be a feature of more affluent countries. The U.S., which has been driving much of the world's drug research and drug policy agenda, stands out with higher levels of use of alcohol, cocaine, and cannabis, despite punitive illegal drug policies, as well as (in many U.S. states), a higher minimum legal alcohol drinking age than many comparable developed countries, write the researchers."

I will keep drinking Mr. Reagans Kool aid and you can keep drinking Mr. Jim Jones' Kool aid.

[citation][nom]JonnyDough[/nom], and live a bit more carefree with that $1200K a year in your pocket.[/citation]

DANGGG 1200k = 1.2million dollars... id like that money

And those extreme jihadist's just don't hate us because we did something to them.. i think they want everyone to submit to what they believe which they do in violent ways. That's just what i think

Oh, goody. The DoD is apparently starting a "War On Smoking" (or WOS) to protect us from ourselves. It will need to be as effective as the War On Drugs, the War on WMDs and the War On Poverty. It would be nice if it worked as well as the War On Smarting Up America, but I don't think it will stand sustained front line assaults. Thank you, my Federal Government for using 3.7 million (plus cost overruns) on one more fine idea.
