I need the BIOS reset password for a Dell 1525 Inspiron Laptop. I keep getting the message 'this system #*&@%$&# is protected by password, please enter the password to continue'

I'm sorry to hear about your problem but Tom's Hardware does not support forum members from giving away any information about passwords. Thank you for understanding. I would try to contact Dell.com.

If we are not allowed to talk about passwords here is a better method:

1. Check out this page on where to find the info you need to proceed

2. You will need to enter the info you found on this page:
http/www.dell.com/support/retail/us/en/04/ownershiptransfer/IdentifySystem

The only trouble with this service from dell is that it can take a long time for them to respond, according to the website info. But if you can wait it out dell will email you the info you need to access your computer again.
