Different amper on charger

Hello, my laptop charger for Asus has
input 100 - 240v 50-60hz 2.5A
output 19.5v 9.23A
The new charger is all the same, only output instead 9.23A is 7.7A. Is it okey to use this charger? Thanks

It would be best to replace it with the correct charger. Otherwise it may not charge correctly, if at all. I am going to assume that you got an after market one, if this is the case, I would suggest you return it and get an OEM one.
