Is the a new install of Windows 7? Or have you been using it for a while without antivirus and now have decided to install an antivirus program?
If it is the latter, then your PC / laptop has likely been infected by a virus which is preventing any antivirus to be installed.
I was also considering the same thing. I don't even know if that 360 total solution is even a real AV. It sounds like a virus that I recently removed from a clients PC not to long ago.
However, if he can get AV installed properly with my method, he can then run a full AV scan in attempts to fix it.
If not, he should run the following
CCleaner: http
/filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Malwarebytes: http
/filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Adaware Removal Tool: https
/www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
Spybot S&D: https
/www.safer-networking.org/
Then once you are done running all those tools. Try to reinstall the AV and run a full AV scan.
