Digital Output has Low Volume?

Just recently got a new audio setup for the PC that requires me to use the Digital Audio output. I have my sub hooked up to the PC via s/pdif as it should be, however, the audio is SUPER quiet when coming out of the sub.

Even more odd is that when I crank up the volume the sub itself becomes even more quiet?

yeah, subs play very low frequencies often just on the edge of some peoples hearing. Typically 20 to 200hz and pften limited to 100hz to prevent damaging them. You will not hear audio from a sub.

since you dont list any model#'s or specs all I can say is review the owners manual and make sure everything is hooked up correctly.
