direct tv problem

I have a direct tv installation that direct will no longer support. My dish is mounted on a fixed piling and the cable is above water to the boat. I keep burning thru barrel connections. What could be causing this?

There is voltage going to the dish so if the connection isn't water proof that might be the problem. I suggest contacting a local company that does electronics on bigger boats (some have sat dishes on them). They would have connectors that should work for you.
