Disabling discrete GPU

Will disabling the discrete GPU in device manager or not at all installing the GPU driver save more power so that a laptop could last for few more minutes or an hour? (I suppose integrated GPU will help for display)

my GPU has Optimus tech , so i set preferred Graphics processor : Auto-select and browse Internet for hours 3-4 hours . Depends on the battery charge . Also selecting Power Saver helps .

But I don't have any optimus tech. 4 Year old laptop with first gen i3 and HD 5470M. So power is a concern for my laptop now 🙁
