Disk is always at high usage

I've had this problem for a while now but havent found any solutions to it

I bought this laptop in 2013 and it came loaded with windows 8 and ever since i can remember the disk usage is always at 100% or near that

Even when im not running any programs it is always at high disk usage

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving that issue.
- Start by running a complete virus/malware scan.

- Once done run Windows Update and install all important update there is.
- If all these will not work you may need to reinstall Windows 8.
