Solved! Display problem

hi,

I have a sony vaio laptop which I bought 6 months ago.It was all working fine but two days ago when I switched on the laptop, nothing were displaying except some vertical lines.

So can anyone suggest me what could be the problem and what will be the solution?

Hello vikram_94;

Can you connect your laptop to an external monitor and see if gets the same vertical lines?
If not, and the external monitor has a clear and normal picture you know it your LCD screen having a problem.
If the external monitor has the same vertical line problem you can suspect its a motherboard or graphics card problem.

Any chance someone has spilled a drink on the laptop or maybe sat or stepped on the laptop?
