Hello,

I want to buy a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 cable to view my laptop screen on my TCL 55UP120 4K Roku TV.

Is it necessary to buy a cable which can be used for 4K TV?. Can I use a cable that says it can be used up to 1080 resolution? Will it create a problem?
Is it worth buying a cable which says is recommended for 4K TV or it doesn't matter. I am looking to get both video and audio output from TV.

Thanks.

The cable is the same for HDMI 2.0 and previous standards. HDMI 2.0 does support higher data rates so a high speed cable would be required. Displayport can carry audio and video. Your laptop would have to support this too.
