Do all mobos unlock cores?

hi if i have a quad core cpu, how can i know which mobos can unlock all the cores? are there some mobos that support multi core cpus yet dont unlock them?

Some mobos that couldn't unlock, just needed BIOS update. No, not all can unlock.

Not most, but to be sure, double check it : )

Sometimes they unlock, but it does not say anywhere in the manual : )
