Do i need a wireless card for my Dell netbook

I'd like to be able to access the Internet anywhere, not just at WiFi hotspots. How do I enable my Dell Netbook to do that?

You need a cellular data plan and a cellular adapter.
What model Dell 'Netbook do you own?

For example; AT&T has a USB 3G adapter for $45 and a monthly 3GB data plan for $35. 5GB monthly plan is $60.

I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 10v netbook. And I use Verizon for all of my phone & Internet use.

Okay, if you want to stick with Verizon, then you need to buy a wireless USB modem and a data plan.

A $50 monthly data plan will get you 5GB of data. For $80 per month you can get 10GB of data. Those are your only choices.

If you already have a smartphone, then you can opt to select a data plan for your phone which allows you to create a mobile hotspot so that you do not have to purchase a separate data plan for your netbook.

You'll still need a USB modem though.
