do u think a new power cord would fix issue if red light keeps flashing

What can I do to fix when red light continues to flash does not turn on. Do u think I should get a new power cord and would that fix it

If the red light is flashing then power is getting to it. A new cord would not help. Try unplugging the cord from the outlet for a few minutes and plugging it back in. Reboot might help. Otherwise the problem is internal to whatever electronic item you have.
