I personaly like the iPad Mini for it's super light weight and good size for reading a book or watching Netflix/YouTube.

I have an iPad 2 and I love it. You can get them for pretty cheap at Big W. Mine hasn't skipped a beat and is super handy when I'm on the run. The software (mine is currently IOS7) is really easy to use!
