What company provides your DVR service now (cable carrier)? Will the same company service you when you move?

That depends on where your content is stored and whether you use the same cable company.
If it's stored on a HD in the cable box then you can take that box with you if you stay with the same cable company.
If it's stores on the cable company server then you can access that content if you stay with the same company regardless of the cable box.
Cable DVR isn't intended for you to create a library. It's for time shifting purposes.
