Does 1.7g hz enough for matlab and other professional softwares ?

The 2 GB ram is going to really hurt the performance of that thing. I can't believe any company would even sell a laptop with only 2GB in today's day of age. My cell phone has 2GB of RAM.

yes dude ....i know that very well......high tech sotwares need a lot of ram ......i will add more ram to that laptop its expandable upto 16gb........so,ram is not an issue now......2gb ram is crap for these stuffs ........all i want to know if this processor clock speed of 1.7 ghz will do good for hight tech soft and this processor is i3 4rth gen 4010U & by the way thanks for ur reply

The processor is too weak for matlab in my opinion. It is only an i3 and it is an ulv chip which makes it worse. I would recommend getting an i5 - 4200m should be enough i think.
