When CAP Lock is turned on ( in CAP'S mode ) ,there is no physical indication !
This creates problem especially while entering passwords which is case sensitive !

Hello Venamali Ramaswami

It seems that like some other laptop models, even Aspire 5532 doesn’t have any CAPS Lock or Num Lock indicator in its built-in keyboard. In such a case, since you cannot replace the keyboard altogether, you must rely on any third-party software that can display the status of CAPs Lock or Num Lock right on your computer screen..

You can go for applications like:

a) TrayStatus (which is a freeware)

Apart from the above, a rather simpler method is, you can connect an external USB keyboard to the laptop. Since most external keyboards have LED indicators integrated in them, the need of installing any third-party indicator application can be eliminated. However the downside of having an external keyboard attached to your laptop is, you must carry the keyboard along with the laptop.

Therefore, if you want to use your laptop as a portable device, using any third-party tool would be your best bet.

Hope this was helpful. :)
