I have bought during these years several lenses for my AF Minoltas and now I
am changing to digital but I do not know does those old lenses work with 7D.
Ok I have read aabout that multiplier 1,6 but are there other things to
know.

I use my AF Minolta lenses I had with my old Minolta 7000 with the new
Dynax 7D from minolta and have no problems using them.
Minolta has printed on their website that the new Dynax 7D is fully
compatible with the range of Minolta AF lenses.

No problems here on my 7D with Minolta, Sigma, Tokina and Tamron
Maxxum-mount lemses I've had for well over a decade. Note also, the
sensor crop factor is 1.5, not 1.6.

I am very happy with the 7D!

Sigma is the least compatible. I just wrote them to ask about my
70-210/2.8 lens which I got for my Maxxum 7000i and had to have
rechipped for my Maxxum7. They said if it had been rechipped for the
Maxxum 7 slr that it would work with the Maxxum7d.
I also wrote Minolta, which said that all their lenses and most Tamron
lenses are compatible with the Maxxum 7d but that Sigma lenses are not
all compatible without rechipping.
