Hi,
I'm having trouble finding out if my laptop supports dts sound output via HDMI.
When i connect it to my tv and receiver i only get stereo sound.
it goes like this: PC---(HDMI)---TV--(optical)---receiver
Hope you can help me out! :)

Solution
Try this...

1. Once connected, go into "Control Panel" and then click on "Sound".
2. Next, on the "Playback" tab, click once (to highlight/choose) the correct device.
3. Now click the "Configure" button at the bottom of the window and go through the process for the option you wish to use.

Ok, so I did as you said and it still only brought up the stereo option. I found out that it happened because my PC recognised my TV as stereo, so it didn't give me the DTS option.

Now here's how i solved it: I connected my PC directly to my receiver. It then recognised my receiver and gave me the DTS option. Problem Solved
It goes like this now: PC--(hdmi)--Receiver--(hdmi)--TV

thanks a lot!
