Question Domain controller gone, but still logging in after 6 months.

Moved my workstation from work office with domain network to home office. Continued to login using the domain controller and old office login username and password. Company shut down 6 months ago and removed all the domain controllers. However, I am still logging in as I always did... as if I were in the office. I am certain the DC is gone. How am I able to continue to operate and login as usual after all this time?

It is very likely at some point that logon can stop working. Aside from backups make sure you have a local account you can use.
