Downloads on internal storage instead of sd card.

Hi, I have try to transfer 6GB video from my Dropbox to OneDrive.I told my phone to download the video on my 16GB sd card which is mounted. But then once the download begins I got a notification about insufficient storage. My internal storage had only 3GB left. Hence I realised that the video was being downloaded to the internal storage instead of my sd card.

How do I fix this? Thanks

I've had success formatting the sd card as internal storage, worth looking in settings for. Might just be an HTC thing though.
