Question No option to format SD card as internal storage on Moto G Play 2023

I've run out of the measly 32 GBs of storage and tried buying a SanDisk 128 GB micro SD card. In the settings for the SD card, it only gives me the option to format it; there is no option to format as internal storage. I've tried enabling developer mode to switch apps from the phone's storage to the SD card, but to no avail. I've seen on other forums that I could bypass this by using ADB commands, but I have no access to a computer due to unfortunate circumstances.

Is there any work around?
