That's pretty much a dead horse. I mean, if we aren't stopping the NSA from collecting meta data and let private companies literally live off of finding out our information.. , also, you could likely already do whatever 'privacy invasion possibilities' you can think of with a home made drone.. with a guide from this website. Its feels like privacy is already dead to me.
So, I see no issues with a quadcopter that can deliver to your neighbors.
