Did you install Java from the www.java.com site (click "Get It Now")?
The first time I installed java it was from another location and I had
problems and got the netbeans thing too. I uninstalled both and
reinstalled from the Java home page and all went well. If you use the
windows installer for DVA you should end up with a shortcut on your
desktop that points to:
"C:\Program Files\DVArchive\DVArchive.jar"
which is what you want. I also d/l'd a little program called windva.exe
that's handy for keeping DVA running in the background. See:
