DVB question

Hello,

Could someone tell me if PCI DVB cards (like the one hauppauge makes for
example) are capable of tuning to different channels at the same time?

I am exploring the idea of building a computer based personal video
recorder, i'm wondering if I would be able to watch one channel while
recording another using one DVB card.

Theoretically, if they are on the same tuned carrier (I don't know
if/how the hardware would handle that.)

If the channels of interest are on different carriers, you will need
more than one tuner card.

For full flexibility you'll need two cards.

i would think that cpu speed would also be an issue...
