Assuming your laptop is capable of playing DVD's...

1) Open DVD by pressing a small button on the drive.
2) Place the DVD face side up
3) Close DVD tray
4) If your PC does not want to auto play the media, try playing with Windows Media Player (assuming you are running Windows)

If WMP is unable to play the DVD, download VLC Media Player, it can play almost anything you throw at it.
