dvd recordable cds

So i burned a movie from my laptop onto a memorex DVD+R cd, why wont it work in my sony dvd player?

if it can what format did you burn the video in?

im not sure exactly. I downloaded the movie from frostwire transferred it to media player. And it burned onto the cd and i took it out and put it back in my laptop to make sure it worked and it did, it just doesnt work in my Dvd player... So idk what to do...

Like he said above.. check to see what your dvd player can read. Not only may it not be able to read the dvd+r disk.. But the file format the video is in matters as well. It would most likely need to be a mpeg4 for your dvd player to read them.
