When I hear "only possible on gen 4", my brain translates the message to mean "only possible with that new, tacky peripheral nobody wants to use". Curse you, gaming industry!
I still don't get why EA keeps calling it Gen 4. They've been making games since the 3rd generation of consoles, this gen is the 8th gen, so this would actually be their 6th generation making games, not their 4th.
maybe they call it gen 4 just as a time progression relative to the playstation alone, or the transition to disks? who knows i don't really care how they term it as long as i get to play mirror's edge, the first one was so much fun. though i hope origins is not a reuirment or i will once again have to buy an ea game and play on console because i do not want that on my computer
The delay was due to EA trying to figure out how to maximize their profits by adding as much in game purchases as possible such as: You want to save your game progress, that will be $2.99.
I think this is another game I won't pre-order because of my love for the original. I have a feeling EA, as any publisher, is becoming too involved.
Anyhow, "Gen4" either refers to Frostbite 4 (eh...) or the 4th sequential generation of consoles that render 3D animation/CG. Yeah, I know, it's idiotic.
Well, as long as the sequel doesn't use physx to slow it down to a slideshow, like the first one did. Choppy, choppy, choppy! Great game, other than that.
I got this in the humble bundle. I am glad I did otherwise I would of never played such a beautiful game, the colors really made the game, I liked how the cutscenes were more along the lines of drawings, so allow you to use your imagination more rather and was more unique.
I would like to see the next Mirror's Edge with some differences, like Occlus Rift and make faith move more freely, as the old Battlefield movements didn't go very well with this kind of game.
"it was a game that could only be built in gen 4 and that was cool"? Then why hasn't it been out for PC, three years ago? Oh yeah, Marketing and Stockholders.
