Earphones don't work when plugged into my PC

Ok so basically, when I plug my earphones into the earphone jack on my razer black widow chroma or my PC, I don't get any sound at all. This began right after I installed razer surround. Since then I've tried uninstalling razer surround and synapse as well but I still don't get any sound to my earphones. I still get sound to my speakers but not my earphones. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but When I downloaded razer surround to my PC it asked me whether or not to trust it. I think clicking yes changed some settings but I don't know what. Pls halp

P.S. I'm not too tech savvy somewhat of a thorough explanation would be nice

Test the headphones on a different PC. The wire could be disconnected/shorted or the speakers might be busted.
