effect on laptop battery

my laptop has a Polymer/Prismatic Battery, do I have to unplug the power supply cord once the battery is fully charged. if I don't do so does the power supply affect the battery life?

You don't have to unplug it after it is charged. Most laptops will stop pumping power to the battery once it reaches full. It is a good idea to unplug it if you turn it off and aren't using it, assuming it is fully charged.
