I am having a problem with my Elgato HD60, with trying to get it work on my laptop while hooked up to a Xbox 360.
After I start up the Game Capture HD program, I plug in the Elgato with the TV and 360 already hooked up, the program will sit for a couple of secs saying “initializing” then it will flash a black screen in the capture window and show my record settings (720p 30) in the device box for about a sec then it will go back to “initializing” and after about 10 – 15 secs the capture window will turn black and the device settings will show and stay for about 30 secs and then it will say no signal. The pass through does work I do have a picture on my TV.
Things I've tried:
Plugging the USB cord in both the 3.0 USB slot and the 2.0 USB
uninstalling the program and driver and reinstalling them
having the provided HDMI cable going into the “in” slot from the console and my HDMI going to my TV in the “out” slot
having the the provided HDMI cable going from the “out” slot to the TV and my HDMI going from the console to the “in” slot
Disabling the driver restart my laptop and then enabling after restart
Here are the specs for my Asus rog laptop:
Windows 10
Processor- 4 core Intel i7-6700 2.60ghz
Ram- 16 GB
Hard drive – 1TB
Graphics card – nvidia geforce gtx 960m
Any help I can get would be much appreciated.
I'm at my wits end.
