I want to reset my computer back to factory settings, I do not have a back up disc as I got this computer as part of my schooling. I have tried several ways - but can not get to the screen to reset. I have a virus - keep getting blue dump screen and can not get to windows or desktop. Have run a rescue disc and this does nothing either. anyone have any ideas??? Please I need to reset my computer.
I was able to re-read some of the older posts and was able to figure out, alt & f10 to restore to factory settings. However, after starting the restore, I am now getting an error message: restore failed - error code=1392( the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable) So now what do I do??
