Check your incoming settings and make sure all the information is entered
correctly.

More than likely to be a typing error.
The details might look the same but be
sure to check for full stops where commas
might be present.

As per the other poster's comments, this is most likely to be a type in the
Incoming (POP3) server address. Also note that if you are using a desktop
email program to access the account at the same time, it's likely to have a
problem. Could it be that the PDA thinks the mailbox is already open?

A little more help can be found at

I have checked and doubled and tripled checked the settings;

Incoming: pop3.frontiernet.net

Outgoing: smtp.frontiernet.net

I get a message that says "Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile
device make sure you are connected and that you e-mail account settings are
correct. Then, try to download messages again.

Not connected to PC and outlook is not running on PC. Very strange.

I had the exact same problem on my HP1940 and now on my HP4150. Never could
get it to work and never found an answer here or in any forum. The only
thing that worked for me was a small email program called npopw. Look for
it on google.
